Introducing... Eric Simpson
Eric Simpson has performed throughout the United States. He has appeared in famous music halls and Opera houses including The Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, The Belk Theater, and many smaller venues to include solo performances at Universities and Local Performance Centers including Detroit, Cheyenne, Richmond, Denver, and many others. As a Baritone with the United States Army Chorus Eric performed for high level officials and diplomats from around the globe, not to mention several television appearances including Memorial Day, Veterans Day, and Independance Day events. Eric is not only classically trained, but well versed in Musical Theater, Southern Gospel and Jazz. He has even appeared as a Harmonaire in the PBS Special The Big Band Sounds of WWII.
What has he done?
Eric's repertoire includes Oratorio, Opera, Operetta, and Musical Theater Roles. His most notable performances are in Oratorio as Pilate or Jesus in St. John's Passion. He has a penchant for Operetta and has been seen as Samuel in Pirates of Penzance, Tschekko in Grafin Mariza and Sgt. Merrill in Yeoman of The Guard. Although not a true Bass he has done the Bass Role of Simone in Gianni Schichi and Masetto in Don Giovanni. His favorite Opera role has been Papageno in Die Zauberflote.
