The Edinburgh Mela celebrates Scotland’s diverse culture. We deliver a high quality festival of music, dance and the wider arts from around the world all with the express purpose of promoting community cohesion and mutual understanding between our changing and diverse communities. We provide an essential platform to BAME artists and performers and showcase work from local and emerging artists and companies alongside artists of national and international stature.
The Edinburgh Mela is a membership organisation, with application for membership open to bodies, companies, partnerships, non-incorporated bodies and organisations which have a demonstrable interest in black, ethnic minority arts, culture and community groups and the objects of whose founding deed (and any subsequent amendments thereto) are compatible with and complimentary to the Objects of The Edinburgh Mela.
