Hello! I am an actor, singer and founder of StageAgent.com. I created StageAgent to improve theatre education and networking opportunities. I love hearing from users, so feel free to contact me if you have any suggestions or comments! I'm a graduate of Stanford University and perform throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
I am a California native who has been living in NY for the past 9 years after finishing 2 years touring with Mamma Mia! I'm the current editor of StageAgent.com and I also work with kids and adults as the acting coach at Art House Astoria Conservatory for Music and Art.
I hold a PhD in theatre history from Royal Holloway University of London and I am particularly interested in eighteenth and nineteenth theatre. However I am also passionate about modern American and British drama as both a writer and a performer. I have performed with several theatre companies across the north west and south east of England. Four years ago, I co-founded an independent theatre company that celebrates new writing, taking plays to the Edinburgh and Manchester Fringe Festivals.
Eleanor Cohn-Eichner is one of Stage Agent’s most senior writers, and has been a proud member of the team since May of 2015. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Theatre from Portland State University, where she happily focused on playwriting, and has been performing in and around her lovely hometown of Portland, Oregon, since childhood. As both a performer and an audience member, Eleanor is especially fond of Shakespeare and classic musical theater, and is also an eager champion of new play development.
