Description

In 1844, Harvard's Hasty Pudding Society began producing original, elaborate annual shows written by and starring its members -- and while a lot has changed at Harvard since then, that yearly tradition has not. This year marks the society's 170th production: "Intermission Impossible", a ridiculous World War II-era theater comedy that sees alcoholic playwright Tennessee Whiskey trying to prepare for his Broadway debut while contending with an absurd group of characters with even more absurd names, like aging actress Faye Dinaway, pageant queen Amber Wavesofgrain and hunky sailor Sal Pacific. Men play all the roles in this bawdy, old-school burlesque at Farkas Hall in Cambridge -- but women are involved in all other aspects of the production, from writing to music to producing the show. Being a part of Harvard history has never been this fun -- or funny!
