Adam Schlesinger
Adam Lyons Schlesinger is an American songwriter, record producer and performer. Best known for his work on Cry-Baby, Sesame Street, and My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Schlesinger has written for countless film and TV shows. He also co-wrote “It’s Not Just for Gays Anymore”, the opening number to the 2011 Tony Award, sung by Neil Patrick Harris. Winner of three Emmys, a Grammy, and the ASCAP Pop Music Award, Schlesinger has also been nominated for Oscar, Tony, and Golden Globe Awards. Adam Schlesinger passed away on April 1, 2020 as a result of COVID-19 at the age of 52.
