Biography
David Javerbaum
David Adam Javerbaum is an American comedy writer, lyricist, and librettist. A graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program, Javerbaum is known for his work on Cry-Baby, The Daily Show, and An Act of God. Javerbaum frequently collaborates with Adam Schlesinger, who he co-wrote “It’s Not Just for Gays Anymore”, the opening number to the 2011 Tony Award, sung by Neil Patrick Harris. Winner of 13 Emmys, Javerbaum is also known for his popular Twitter account @TheTweetOfGod, which was the basis for his play, An Act of God.
