Garry Marshall was an American film director, film producer, screenwriter, and actor. He is best known for creating Happy Days, developing Neil Simon's 1965 play The Odd Couple for television, and directing films such as Pretty Woman, Beaches, and The Princess Diaries. Pretty Woman was developed into a musical two years after Marshall's death.
