French writer Louis Gallet is most well remembered for his opera libretti, which often adapted classic plays, as well as passages from religious texts. He collaborated with composers such as Georges Bizet, Camille Saint-Saëns, and Jules Massenet, and gained an excellent reputation for his originality, and his dedication to his work.
