As well as collaborating with Giuseppe Verdi on many of his early operas, Temistocle Solera also worked with several other composers, and even composed a few operas himself. Sadly, much of his work has fallen out of the operatic canon, except for his retelling of the story of King Nebuchadnezzar II's religious conversion, which became Verdi's Nabucco.
