Cindy Lou Johnson is an American playwright best known for her psychological drama Brilliant Traces. She has also written The Years, The Person I Once Was, and Blesse and wrote for various television dramas in the early 1990s. Her plays have been produced at The Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Conference, Actors Theatre of Louisville, and The Circle Repertory Company. In 2002, she premiered her play The New Americans at American Conservatory Theater’s New Voices series. Johnson is the recipient of the prestigious National Endowment Playwriting Fellowship.
