Bill Oaks was the head of Robert Stigwood’s record company, RSO, which managed artists including Eric Clapton and the Bee Gees. He became music supervisor for the hit films, Saturday Night Fever and Grease, which were both produced by Stigwood. Oaks won a Grammy Award for Saturday Night Fever and an American Music Award for Grease. He also supervised the soundtracks for films such as Fame and The Empire Strikes Back.
