Peter Parnell is a writer for Broadway and Off-Broadway, and is the Vice-President of the Dramatists Guild of America. He also writes children's books, the most famous is And Tango Makes Three, the true story of two male penguins in the Central Park Zoo who bonded and raised a chick named Tango. He also served as a writer on a number of television series, including The West Wing.
