Wayne is an award-winning designer, playwright, songwriter and film-maker. Over the years, he has had many of his plays and musicals performed across the country. His brand of clever storylines and quirky characters have gained him a reputation as a noteworthy, award-winning playwright. In February 2017, he had his first, full-length, interactive digital musical “Hey Jude – The Musical,” performed to sell out shows. It was also staged in Canada. Continuing from this success, he wrote and directed the award-winning plays “First Light,” about the first electric light, “No Strings Attached,’’ a puppet musical and “Joy,” a heart-felt play about dealing with Alzheimer’s and dementia. His short comedy play, “What Would Jesus Do” earned him a runner-up award in the Olga E Harding Playwriting Competition. The thought provoking play considered what challenges would Jesus face if he returned to recruit new followers today.
