An Italian poet and librettist. During his lifetime Mazzola worked closely with librettist Da Ponte and composer Antonio Salie. Perhaps his most famous work, that is still in use today, is his reworking of Metastasio's text for the libretto of Mozart's opera La clemenza di Tito .
