Robert Cary is an American writer, director and producer. He co-authored the libretto for the stage adaptation of the film Flashdance, which began touring the U.K. in July of 2008 before transferring to London’s West End in 2010. The musical subsequently began a successful three-year tour of North America. He is also the co-writer of the musicals Palm Beach and Summer: The Donna Summer Musical.
