Francine Pascal is an American writer, best known for creating the Sweet Valley High series. She is the sister of the late Broadway librettist, Michael Stewart, and she rewrote the book of Mack & Mabel following his death in 1987. She also joined him in writing the book to George M!, as well as revised his book for Carnival! when it was revived at the Kennedy Center.
