Otto Nicolai was a German Composer during the 19th century. He is most well remembered for his opera Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor, a retelling of Shakespeare's The Merry Wives of Windsor. Along with a group of other musicians, critics, and authors, Otto Nicolai founded the Vienna Philharmonic, one of the world's most famous orchestras.
