About
Storytelling through drama is an important tradition. Studying drama will improve your self confidence and public speaking skills, while also enhancing your creativity, problem solving, and time management. The Diablo Valley College Drama program offers one of the most in-depth acting, directing, and technical theater training programs in the East Bay.
Students put on four productions every school year, including one musical and one student-directed play. There are many additional acting and production opportunities throughout the year in our drama club, Dramatic Society, and with our course showcases.
Our drama program offers:
- an associate degree in theater arts for transfer,
- an associate degree in technical theater,
- a certificate of achievement in technical theater.
