Introduction
Teachers are often on the front line with the student, answering questions, giving advice, pointing them in a positive direction. In this module just for teachers, we outline how you can best help a student interested in pursuing a college degree in musical theatre.
Terminology
- Audition Cut: A 1-2 minute monologue from a play, or short (16-bar) and long (32-bar) portions of a song.
- Adjustment: A note from the audition adjudicator requesting a change in how audition material is performed.
- Warm-ups: Physical, vocal, and mental exercises to warm up the body, voice, and mind.
