Hello little sparrow. (The bird chirps again) Could you help me read this story? (The bird chirps, rather embarrassed) NOw, don't be shy. You simply translate, then whisper in my ear what the words mean. Would you please? (The bird thinks for a moment, then nods her head in agreement. The bird looks at the pages, then whispers in the Storyteller's ear.) What's that? There once was a woman who lived all alone in a cabin in the woods. Go on... (The bird whispers again) Ah, she was drawn to nature and to animals. She was a healer, and every morning creatures from all around the forest would line up to visit their local doctor...
