Jessa,
if you’re watching this,
I’m probably dead.
I hope you can try and understand
why there was no other way.
I know that might be difficult,
and there’s only so much I can do to explain,
but please believe me when I say
it was all for you.
You know the history now
and that’s all that’s been on my mind,
particularly these past couple of weeks.
Knowing all this
and how it got there,
there was no way I could have lived with myself
if I didn’t do all I could
to end it all.
It’s why I volunteered to be the one
to go into the White House,
and do the deed that needed to be done.
So you...
...so all the people of the world...
...can have a more just future
to look forward to.
While I may not be alive to see it,
at least those I love will,
should all go as I hope it does.
I only hope you can understand,
and that you forgive me.
I love you.
And may the people outlive their oppressors.
