Cathy confronts Chris Higgins over his negative attitude just as they are about to perform.
Chris, you don’t like yourself very much because you stutter. And when you don’t like yourself, you take it out on other people. And when you take it out on other people, they don’t like you. And when people don’t like you, you feel bad about yourself—and you stutter more. (Pauses, waits for CHRIS to speak.) And it feeds on itself, and it just keeps getting worse. Am I making sense to you?
