The audition will take place at The Opera Centre in Surry Hills.
The audition is conducted in rounds. Any shortlisting round and the first round are screened. Subsequent rounds may or may not be screened.
Further information and excerpts will be provided to applicants closer to the audition day.
Recorded auditions:
Candidates are strongly encouraged to perform a live audition. If you are unable to attend in person, you may submit a recorded audition. The Opera Australia Orchestra does not make appointments by recorded audition alone. If successful, the applicant must perform a "live" audition within a month of the audition date, unless mutually agreed otherwise. Any travel costs are at the applicant’s own expense.
Guidelines for submitting a recorded audition will be emailed to you. Please advise as soon as possible the date you intend to record your audition.
