Auditions will take place at the Tower Theatre on Thursday 31 July from 7pm, Saturday 2 August from 3pm (fully booked) and Monday 4 August from 7pm.
Possible recalls will take place on Saturday 9 August from 11am.
It is recommended to read the play before auditioning. If you already own or have easier access to a different translation of the same play, feel free to read that version. However, the sides used for the audition will be taken from the version by Ted Hughes. A copy of the latter will be left in the foyer to be read on the premises only.
All auditions will be workshop auditions. Each workshop audition will consist of a couple of simple group movement exercises, followed by reading excerpts of the script. Each workshop audition will last between 90 minutes and 2 hours.
It is recommended, but not essential, to wear comfortable clothes/shoes. It is not required to have previous movement or dance experience to audition for this production.
Please contact the director, Flavia Di Saverio, stating your preferred date, and role(s) you would like to audition for (any specific character(s) and/or “as cast”), to find out what to prepare for your audition or for any questions. Audition sides will be sent to auditionees in advance and printed copies will be available at the audition. If you are unable to attend any of the above dates, please let the director know and an alternative date may be arranged.
Auditions are for Tower Theatre Company Members only. If you would like to join the Company: https://www.towertheatre.org.uk/auditions-2/.
