We are looking for an experienced freelance Lighting Designer to join our team. You will work closely with our set & costume Designer, Ruby Pugh, to realise and program the final lighting design, building on her design concept.
Key Skills & Knowledge:
Proven experience designing for live performance
Strong understanding of lighting systems and programming
Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills across departments
Key responsibilities:
Design and deliver a lighting plan in keeping with designers concept and design
Collaborate with the creative team to realise a lighting aesthetic that supports narrative
Oversee installation, focusing, programming, and testing of all lighting systems
Operate lighting during performances or train operators as required
Integrate lighting with other technical elements (video, sound) in a responsive system
Ensure safety, compliance, and best practices in all lighting work
