Chair: Board of Trustees

Tip Tray Theatre are looking to appoint a chair for their developing board of trustees as they seek to gain charitable status.

The Chair of Tip Tray Theatre leads the Board of Trustees, ensuring the organisation is effectively governed, financially stable, and delivering on its mission and values. Working in close partnership with the Co-CEOs, the Chair helps set strategic direction, supports leadership development, and upholds the organisation's vision.

This role is central to the long-term success and impact of Tip Tray Theatre through strong leadership and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Board in fulfilling its governance duties and aligning with Tip Tray Theatre's mission, aims, and values.

Collaborate with the Co-CEOs and Board to develop, approve, and monitor strategic plans and policies.

Ensure strong financial oversight, organisational performance, and accountability.

Support and guide the Co-CEOs in their leadership and delivery of company goals.

Represent the organisation externally and build relationships with stakeholders.

Ensure collaboration and effectiveness across the Board, including recruitment, mentoring, and performance evaluation.

Chair Board meetings, shape agendas, and oversee follow-through on key decisions.

Maintain oversight of risk, reputation, and compliance with legal and financial obligations.
