Deputy Head of Stage

We are looking for a talented Deputy Head of Stage to work alongside the Head of Stage and deliver all scenic and staging aspects of 14 productions across our main stage and studio every year.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Assist the Head of Stage & freelance Production Managers with all productions & events planning, staffing and fulfilment.

Deputise for the Head of Stage in their absence.

Modify and/or build scenic elements for shows as required by the Head of Stage / agreed production requirements.

Support the Head of Stage to maintain a functional, safe and compliant workshop at all times.

Oversee get-in and get-out of Stage department equipment across the venue as agreed with the Head of Stage.

Support the daily operation of shows as required by the Head of Stage.

Support the Head of Stage to ensure that Hampstead Stage department equipment is maintained to a safe and compliant standard and ready for use as required.

Provide excellent communication and support to creatives and production professionals working at Hampstead Theatre.

Assist with additional tasks on stage and across the venue as required.

Oversee the implementation of production Health & Safety requirements in planning and on stage.
