Bar Coordinator

Oxford Playhouse is looking to appoint an experienced Bar Coordinator. Become part of the team at the Oxford Playhouse working to provide a welcoming and efficient service to all its visitors and customers.

Part of the Operations team, this new post plays a key role in ensuring consistently high standards of customer service, presentation and safety are maintained in all the theatre's public bar and catering areas. Part of the Front of House team, supporting the artistic programme of Oxford Playhouse through delivering the highest possible standard of services and facilities and ensuring a welcoming, safe and efficient environment is provided for all staff, visitors and customers.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a hospitality environment
• Passion for dealing with the public and giving a high standard of service.
• Experience of completing departmental end of day reconciliation
• Ability to prepare, motivate and supervise a staff team.
• Awareness of licensing, hygiene, and health & safety legislation.
• A proven ability to deal with multiple events and services with attention to detail.
• A proven ability to handle demanding and difficult situations with the public, in a calm and confident manner.
• Pro-active approach to problem solving and the ability to work well under pressure.
