Context
Mr. Tewson is standing at the edge of his fields, talking with Miss Cade. He is concerned with the financial security of his farm, and Miss Cade--intelligent and smooth-talking from the city--is trying to persuade him to sell his farm and then lease it back from her company. They talk about the politics and economics of such a transaction, and just as Tewson is about to agree, a Ghost from the past appears.
