Context
Peter Pan has been visiting the home of the Darlings for many nights now, eavesdropping on the bedtime stories the children are told and taking them back to the Lost Boys waiting for him in Neverland. A few nights prior to Peter Pan’s beginning, Peter was seen by Mrs. Darling, who attempted to catch him and instead pulled off his shadow. She has stored his shadow in a drawer in the nursery, and Peter has returned with the help of his fairy Tinkerbell to look for it. Wendy awakens shortly

Start: Peter: Tinker Bell, Tink, are you there?... Oh, do come out of that jug… Do you know where they put it?... Which big box? This one? But which drawer? Yes, do show me. Wendy: Boy, why are you crying?
