Context
On Christmas morning the family gathers in the living room, where Son sees the bicycle he worked for, adorned with a ribbon. The mood and tone of the four family members is that of idyllic 1950s suburbia. But when Dad leaves to go golfing, the mood and tone changes. Suddenly, Mom, Son, and Sis are British--with a butler--a fantasy world that excludes Dad completely.
