Context
For months now, husband and wife Terje Rød-Larsen and Mona Juul have been working to establish a private back channel of negotiations for the State of Israel and the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO). It is Terje’s and Mona’s hope that if both sides approach the negotiations in a new way ― coming together as people, not enemies, and gradually building trust between them ― then Israel and the PLO may finally make steps towards peace between their nations.

START: Savir. “I told everyone in my office, I’m off to Paris for the weekend. I land at de Gaulle, take my car to the hotel, put the do-not-disturb sign on the door, climb out the window, and head back to the airport, incognito.”
