Context
Creon is Oedipus' brother-in-law, following his marriage to Jocasta. He temporarily ruled Thebes following the death of Jocasta's first husband. Like Jocasta, Creon has no idea that Oedipus is also her son. Oedipus has just heard from an omniscient seer that he is his father's murderer, thus suggesting that the prophecy around his birth is true.
