Context
Hank wrote some rhymes for Julian to perform at his school’s Battle of the Bands. While Julian performed well, he didn’t win, and refuses to take responsibility for his loss. Hank, always patient, tries to reason with his hotheaded friend, but isn’t very successful. The video is from a staged reading of the play.

Start:
Hank: (Placing a comforting hand on Julian’s shoulder.) Everybody takes an “L.”
Julian: (Shoving Hank’s hand off:) I don’t take L’s, I hand ‘em out!
Hank: Oh.
Julian: I should have won that. Those were some weird rhymes you gave me.
[... … …]
End:
Hank: They got instruments. People in The Hill. They go crazy for that.
Julian: Well, I’m gonna get me an instrument.
You’ll write me some fresher rhymes. I’m gonna come back and show The Hill what’s up. Show everybody
