Context
Former truck driver Eddie has spotted Jess sleeping in her car and invited her into his apartment for a cup of tea. She is suspicious about his intentions and is hesitant to come in. However, she has been sleeping in the car for weeks and is freezing cold. As they talk, we learn that Jess has given up her apartment so she can send money to her mother, who is sick and has returned to her home country.
