Context
Chris, in his role as the Inspector, has come on stage to question ‘Florence Colleymoore’, played by Sandra. In the previous confusion over props, he has been handed a vase and key, instead of a paper and pen but he still mimes making notes with these absurd props. While he and Sandra talk, Sandra comes in with a line too early but they don’t manage to catch up with their lines, meaning that the conversation becomes increasingly absurd.
