Context
Undergraduate college student Adam met and fell in love with graduate art student Evelyn. He underwent a series of cosmetic changes at her request, and eventually presented her with an engagement ring. Just prior to this scene, Adam and many of his close friends, including former roommate Phillip and Phillip’s now-ex-fiance Jenny, attended the opening of Evelyn’s graduate thesis exhibition.
