TESS. Your streets are too long.
JOE. Well, you’ll have to take that up with the Dutch. You want a beer?
TESS. I can’t stay.
JOE. No, sure, I just wanted to – I felt kind of awful, about how I spoke to you the
other night, and – anyway so I sorted through my China archive.

JOE. What?
TESS. In Beijing. They fire rockets, into the sky, to disperse the clouds.
If they don’t want it to rain, then it doesn’t. Terrifying.
