Context
Hostess Jenny and her guest Lauren are talking for the first time without their husbands being present. In this scene, they bond over their shared ghost-related experiences and comment on the way humans react to fear. LAUREN: They went to get wine. Sam’s a sarcastic bastard, huh?
JENNY: But we laugh along.
LAUREN: Oh sure, he’s a hoot. Until you’re the target.
