Context
The night before, Colonel Lukyn was arrested during a raid at the Hotel des Princes. Unbeknownst to him, his friend Aeneas Posket was there and escaped arrest. Unbeknownst to Mr. Posket, his wife Agatha was there and arrested with Colonel Lukyn and several others. Breaking protocol as a magistrate, Mr. Posket allows Lukyn to talk with him before the formal hearing and sentencing for breaking hotel curfew. Lukyn tries to convince Mr. Posket to let the women (Mrs. Posket and her sister) go free
