That next day. A classroom at Sycamore Trails High School, which has seen better days. DEWEY, in navy sweater vest, red tie, dress shirt, and khakis, stands before a room of juniors and teaches US history. He looks very rundown. In attendance are WYATT HART, TEDDY WOLCOTT, and MAC. WYATT sits apart from the latter two, who have their desks bunched together. In his fatigue, DEWEY doesn’t notice a trickle of blood running from the top of his forehead.
DEWEY The British Parliament passed the Tea Act in 1773, and this struck a nerve with the colonists. Why? Because while they were technically English citizens, they didn’t have –
TEDDY Mr. Coleman?
DEWEY Yes, Teddy?
TEDDY Your head’s bleeding.
DEWEY pats his head and checks it. He finds a bit of blood and smears it away.
