Context
Father Horrigan came to the Carney farmhouse to reveal that Quinn’s missing brother, Seamus, had been found buried in a bog. He has now returned in the middle of the night with the intention of talking to Quinn again. Father Horrigan is being threatened by the IRA to put pressure on Quinn not to talk about Seamus’ death.
