Context
Cecily Cardew is desperately trying escape her German grammar lesson, which she finds excessively boring. However, her governess, Miss Prism, is firm that Cecily must study. She tells Cecily that her guardian, Uncle Jack, wants Cecily to succeed at her studies. In the middle of their difference of opinions, Dr. Chasuble enters. He and Miss. Prism have an awkward, slightly flirtatious relationship and Cecily cunningly encourages Chasuble to take her governess for a walk around the garden.
