Synopsis

The CEO of a global publicly held conglomerate struggles to deliver what he must every quarter or lose his job: shareholder value. The play chronicles his efforts to spin off divisions and make cutbacks, from the financial meltdown of 2008 to the present, as the cost unfolds of his short-sighted thinking to the company, the employees, and finally to himself. Based loosely on the debacle at General Electric. The company, Total Electric, was, like GE, founded by Thomas Edison, who makes a surprise appearance.
