Overview

Synopsis

In 1959, post-World War II, the tide of the red scare and the dawn of the Civil Rights Movement has created a political divide that seems to run deeper than ever before. Citizens of the nation urgently cry for transparency and validation of the status of democracy. An (fictional) exhibition debate is arranged between Francis Dellamore, a former interim Treasury Secretary in the Truman administration--however, since then he has been an outspoken advocate for socialism--and Senator John F. Kennedy, a bright newcomer who seems to be a beacon of the progressive movement. The debate will determine which side of the aisle the public lies and what the future holds.
