Overview

Synopsis

It’s the summer of 1963 and the Houseman family have arrived at Kellerman’s, a luxurious holiday resort in New York’s Catskill Mountains. 17 year old Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman is fresh-faced, passionate, and innocently determined about the course her life is going to take. But that is before she stumbles into an all night dance party in the staff quarters. She is immediately swept away by the exotic rhythms and sensual movement, especially when she meets Johnny Castle, the resort’s dance instructor. Baby’s entrance into the dance world escalates quickly when she is asked to train with Johnny and partner him in a dance competition. Very soon, the couple grow close, both onstage and off. But can love truly blossom between two people from two very different worlds? It’s time to find out and have the ‘time of your life’!
