Overview

Synopsis

It’s Only Life is a musical revue showcasing the compositions of John Bucchino. Examining themes of life, longing, fear, fulfillment, and finding personal growth, this revue will touch the hearts of every audience. With its beautifully complex vocal score, It’s Only Life provides a great opportunity to showcase actors with excellent singing abilities. Since this is a musical revue, the songs are linked by a theme and there is no continuous plotline. This provides an opportunity for the actors to add in a lot of their own context to the material, giving an opportunity for very personalized work. The names of the characters were originally chosen based on the actors who first performed in the revue, and for that reason, the character’s name may be altered to match that of the current performer. Although recommended for a cast of 5, this show can be done by much larger casts, making it an excellent choice for a variety of cast sizes.
