Synopsis
I Remember Mama was Richard Rodgers final work. It tells the story of a struggling Norwegian immigrant family living in San Francisco at the turn of the century. After members of the family experience health and money problems, the father decides to take the family back to Norway. Luckily, one of his daughters, 17-year-old Katrine, is able to sell one of her stories to Colliers Magazine for $500. Thus, the family is able to stay in America and Katrine becomes a successful writer.
