Overview

Synopsis

According to the National Violence Against Women Survey, 1 in 6 U.S. women will be the victim of sexual abuse or attempted sexual abuse in their lifetime. The act itself is damage enough. But what happens afterwards? How do women rebuild their lives? Based on real-life accounts, Afterwards offers honest, raw depictions of victims of sexual abuse. Using just five actresses, the women recount the traumatic and honest experiences of victims featured on the website Escaping Hades: Pandora’s Aquarium.

Editor's Note: This is a ten minute play.
