Overview
Synopsis
_Proposals _is a memory play that nostalgically recalls an afternoon the Hines family spends in the Pocono Mountains during the 1950s. The family's housekeeper, Clemma, narrates the story, which revolves around relationships at a family gathering. Clemma worries about a visit from her ex-husband. Meanwhile, Burt, the Hines family patriarch, anticipates the arrival of his ex-wife. His daughter is reeling from a break up with her fiancé, who isa student at Harvard Law. The cast of characters also includes Ray, an aspiring writer, and Vinnie, a Miami gangster.
